Plants

Plants are grown on each branch in order to try and provide critters with an environment they like which will keep them happy and allow them to produce Tree Food. There are currently 20 different plants separated into 5 types. When the tree reaches 15, 25, and 35 branches, plants that provide bonuses become available in the market.

Possible References

• Trumplets - Possibly based on trumpet flowers.
• Newton Fruits - Possibly named after the physicist Isaac Newton, who discovered gravity after an apple fell on his head.
• Leechens - A combination of the words "leech" and "lichen". A reference to the fact that some mosses and vines grow on trees and suck their nutrients.
• Stranglethorn - A reference to the strangler fig.

Errors

• Mushrooms are not actually plants. They are fungi, but are often mistaken for plants because the two groups look similar.
